MP Ibrahim Kanaan revealed Monday that a letter has been sent to the Central Inspection, calling on the bureau to conduct a comprehensive survey on the number of employees registered in the state’s administrations, institutions and municipalities.
Following the meeting of the Budget and Finance Committee, Kanaan said that they sent a letter to the Civil Service Council to ask for copies of the reports drafted by the Research and Guidance committee on recruitment and contracting, in order to demonstrate whether or not the cabinet exceeded the committee’ estimations, and in favor of which administration or institution.”
On another note, Kanaan expressed surprise over the absence of Minister Mohammad Choucair without any apology, noting that he received a call from the minister’s advisor confirming attendance of the meeting.
The MP also stated that he will not go into debates with any party, noting that ant comment he makes comes within the framework of protecting the reform initiative of the finance committee.
