Saad says Sidon’s strike a time bomb

The head of the Nasserite Popular Organization Ousama Saad called Monday on all officials to bear the responsibility of the dangerous situation prevailing over Sidon, noting that the sit-in held in the city’s north is a “time bomb”. Saad rejected the slogans raised in the sit-in, stating that the practices and infringements committed aim at provoking the reactions of Sidon's residents.            
During a press conference on Sidon's latest developments, Saad said that the most dangerous thing at this phase is the threat of a possible sectarian strife, stressing his support for movements held by youth and economic committees to put an end to the “abnormal situation in the city”.
          
Saad voiced his surprise regarding the Future movement’s decision to call off the strike scheduled for today and to suspend Sidon’s general meeting, stressing that this decision shows “their arrogance and their disdain for the figures that attended the meeting".         

He added that this decision was taken upon a request coming from the Gulf region that "does not want to end a sit-in calling for the Resistance’s disarmament"
