Marada Movement chief Sleiman Frangieh stressed Thursday that he will always be at the disposal of President Michel Aoun, “who can summon him whenever he wishes.”
Following his visit to the Maronite Order in Ghazir, Frangieh hoped that the economic crisis will end soon, stressing that the current phase is difficult and there is a real intention to end this situation. He also stressed his support for all reform measures.
Commenting on the issue of the appointments, Frangieh said: “Nothing looks promising so far but we respect the intentions of President Aoun if they were ever realized; and in case the appointments criteria were placed to serve the interests of one party, we have the right to set our own conditions.”
On the issue of the refugees, Frangieh said that Lebanon’s agenda must be aimed only to serve the country’s best interest, which is the return of the refugees to their country.
