Cabinet approves second round of offshore oil and gas licensing

A Cabinet session was held on Thursday at the Grand Serail chaired by Prime Minister Saad Hariri.

At the beginning of the session, Hariri lamented the leaking of the Cabinet’s agenda to media outlets before the start of any Cabinet’s sessions.

Then, the Cabinet formed a ministerial committee to study the national anti-corruption strategy project.

The ministers also approved the launch of a second licensing round for offshore oil and gas exploration with deadline to submit offers ending on 31/01/2020.
