Finance Minister Ali Hassan Khalil told LBCI that the funds of Jounieh port and the “Saints Road” are available in the budget, as decided in the 2017 budget.
“It is shameful to present this budget as if it targeted a certain region,” he said.
On another note, Hassan Khalil emphasized that all “the outbidding regarding the issue of the Lebanese army and security apparatuses are misplaced,” stressing that any report of targeting the army through the budget is not true.
Addressing the army command and Defense Ministry, the finance minister warned against falling into unwanted and fake conflicts.
