Defense Minister Elias Bou Saab stressed that there are no discussions about any change to the salaries of the military personnel and the veterans in all their forms, explaining that the only item that was approved is the one related to 3% reductions of medical care, which will be applied to all public sector employees.
Following the cabinet session to continue budget discussions, Bou Saab said that “there has been total agreement with between him and Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil during the past session concerning the measure number 3, contrary to reports circulating in this regard.”
