Lebanon bids farewell to former MP and Minister Sami el-Khatib
Lebanon bid farewell on Sunday to former MP and Minister Sami el-Khatib who passed away on Friday aged 86.

The funeral was held in his hometown of Jeb Jenin and was attended by Minister of Information Jamal al-Jarrah representing both President Michel Aoun and Prime Minister Saad Hariri, and MP Assem Araji representing Speaker Nabih Berri, in addition to scores of top officials and popular figures.
Al-Jarrah announced that President Aoun granted al-Khatib the National Order of the Cedar of the Grand Officer rank.

The former MP and minister were later laid to rest.
