President Michel Aoun hoped on Wednesday that the Parliament will endorse the 2019 state budget draft as soon as possible, stressing that the process of improving Lebanon's national economy has kicked off.
During his meeting with a delegation representing Jounieh and Keserwan Ftouh Merchants' Association headed by Association President Sami Irani, Aoun noted that the budget bill included procedures to enhance production sectors in Lebanon, especially industry and agriculture.
He added that the economic development should begin with the start of the oil and gas exploration next year.
