Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil kicked off his visit to London with a meeting with Minister of State for the Armed Forces Mark Lancaster.
During the meeting, they discussed the assistance provided by the Britain to the Lebanese army, which includes equipment and training. Bassil called on the British minister to continue the aid program to the LAF and the Internal Security Forces.
The foreign minister also met with Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the British House of Commons MP Tom Tugendhat and discussed with the regional developments in Syrian, Iraq and Yemen, as well as what has been known as “the deal of the century” and its repercussions on the Palestinian cause.
