Salim Sfeir elected as chairman of Association of Banks in Lebanon
Salim Sfeir was elected on Saturday as chairman of Association of Banks in Lebanon and Nadim al-Kassar as vice chairman.

During a press conference, Sfeir said that the Lebanese economy is facing challenges, vowing to deploy efforts to strengthen the level of the banking sector.

“This matter requires serious work on the internal and external level,” he added.

He also stressed that he is open to all sides and all suggestions, noting that the Association of Banks is for “everyone.”

Sfeir concluded by stressing importance of deepening coordination with the Central Bank and ensuring an effective presence of Lebanon in International conferences.
