The last meeting for the Finance and Budget Committee is expected to be held on Monday or Tuesday of next week. The date depends on a second meeting to be held between the committee’s head MP Ibrahim Kanaan and Finance Minister Ali Hassan Khalil.
The committee had tasked the finance minister to redraft a number of budget items, including the item related to the 2% tax on imported goods.
