Defense Minister Elias Bou Saab left Beirut on Sunday and headed to London on a 3-day official visit, during which he will meet with officials, including his British counterpart Penny Mordaunt, Minister of State for the Armed Forces Mark Lancaster and Chief of the Defense Staff General Nicholas Carter.
Bou Saab’s visit comes as a follow up to the efforts exerted by Britain in helping Lebanon to implement the plan to control the land border and means to develop it, as well as providing assistance to the Lebanese army.
The defense minister’s visit will be an occasion to benefit from the expertise of the British army that succeeded in developing itself and rehabilitating its own structure.
