Owners of leased buildings: Draft law aiming at amending rent law is unjust

Owners of leased buildings in Lebanon called on the deputies to “dismiss the draft law pertaining to amend and suspend the new rent law.”

During a sit-in, the head of the Syndicate of Owners of Leased Buildings Joseph Zoughaib stressed that the main message they seek to deliver is to refrain from changing the rent law that took 25 years of discussions and passed three timed by the Constitutional Council. “Enough occupying our homes without paying dues,” he said.
