Tourism Minister Avedis Guidanian welcomed on Tuesday the decision of United Arab Emirates to lift the travel ban on its nationals to Lebanon.
"First, this step will lead to the return of Emirati tourists, and secondly it will encourage the return of UAE investments, which in turn will increase tourism spending," the minister said in statement.
Guidanian stressed that the decision of the United Arab Emirates will strengthen Lebanese-UAE relations, voicing gratitude to all those who contributed to lifting the travel ban, namely Prime Minister Saad Hariri, as well as UAE officials, including Emirati Ambassador to Lebanon, Hamad Saeed Al Shamsi.
