UNIFIL spokesperson Andrea Tenenti clarified Tuesday that the chopper that had landed in Naqoura belonged to the international peacekeepers and that it had been brought in for maintenance purposes.
"The helicopter that landed in Naqoura is Brazilian and it belongs to the UNIFIL's maritime task force," he indicated, adding that the copter returned to its carrier in the sea after conducting the needed maintenance.
Media outlets had reported earlier that a British chopper flew over the Block 9 in South Lebanon before landing in Naqoura.
