Car crash involving 3 cars leaves 2 Lebanese soldiers dead
A horrific car crash took place Saturday morning on the western side of the Dawra – Karantina highway. Three cars were involved in the crash that killed two soldiers and wounded two others.        
In the details, an Infinity SUV driven by Mohdi Hassan Hammoud deviated off the eastern course due to excessive speed and landed on the western lane, colliding with a Hyundai and a Toyota.

The accident killed on impact Major Robert Ghassan Maalouf and his brother First Chief Adjutant Johnny Ghassan Maalouf, and severely wounded Adel Tanios Maalouf who had been a passenger with the. Adel was rushed to Rizk Hospital where he is receiving intensive treatment.       

As for Hammoud, he was taken to Saint Therese Hospital only to leave minutes later. He was subsequently arrested by a judiciary warrant.      

The accident also left Citizen Hisham Boulos Daou wounded who was driving a Toyota at the time. The crash resulted in a massive gridlock.
