Sit-in on Tripoli’s highway in protest of increasing car accidents

The families of Tripoli’s residents who were killed in car accidents rallied at the entrance of the city in protest of the state’s failure to deal with the increasing car accidents and the rising death toll on Tripoli’s streets.

Omar, Ahmad and Mohammad were neither killed during the Jabal Mohsen – Bab el Tebbaneh clashes, nor died from sickness or destitution in the city’s poor neighborhoods. They were killed by their own state that neglected roads, failing to light them, pave them or to build pedestrian bridges.

Amid this indescribable sorrow, the relatives of Omar, Ahmad Mohammad and 19 others cried over the loss of their children, hoping that the state will solve this problem soon to spare the loss of more lives.
