UK ambassador to Lebanon: Formation of government is important step for Lebanon
Prime Minister Hassan Diab met on Thursday at the Grand Serail with UK ambassador to Lebanon Chris Rampling in the presence of newly appointed Ministers of Environment and Minister of State for Administrative Development Affairs Dimianos Kattar.

Talks tackled the situation in Lebanon and the bilateral relationship.

After the meeting, Rampling said that “the formation of a new government is an important step for Lebanon.”

“The UK has been consistent in calling for the urgent formation of an effective and credible government, which reflects the aspirations of the Lebanese people,” he added.

“Along with other members of the International community we stand ready to support Lebanon, but we look to this government to demonstrate its commitment to the reforms which Lebanon desperately needs,” Rampling stressed.
