Three hostages to be released in the next few days
Since the members of the Association of Muslim Scholars have been meeting in Syria with Syrian, Turkish and Arab mediators, positive results have been revealed in the case of the Lebanese hostages in Syria.

The first results were revealed by the release of the Trukish detainee held by Meqdad clan, and the promises of Imam al-Rida group to release the other detainee.

In this context, Sheikh Bilal Deqmaq told LBCI that some of the hostages will be released soon.

Following the interference of many sides in the case, from Turkey to Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Syria, the kidnappers were lost and the real group behind the kidnapping has not yet been revealed.

Sheikh Ibrahim al-Zoghbi told LBCI that one or three hostages are expected to be released within the next few days, noting that preparations will be set to release the others.

He explained that the financial deals which are being proposed to the kidnappers are not benefitting the case; instead they are delaying the release process.

Information made available state that the first level of the release process will take place through mediators, chief among them Abou Mohammad, in his first appearance as a side in the case.
