Pope Benedict XVI: My visit to Lebanon a moving spiritual event

The Pope Benedict XVI said on Wednesday that his visit to Lebanon earlier this month was a moving spiritual event, adding that: “It was also an opportunity given by the dialogue, in a country which has a complicated reality but is still a fine example for the whole region, regarding coexistence and effective cooperation among various religious and social groups”.

In this context, the Pope said that today’s world needs “clear and strong signs of dialogue and cooperation”, hoping that peace and appreciation messages will achieve the required goals concerning better relationship between Christians and Muslims.
