Solide, Committee of Parents of Lebanese Detainees call for formation of a national body

SOLIDE [Support of Lebanese in Detention and Exile], the Committee of Parents of Lebanese Detainees in Syrian Prisons teamed with the Lebanese Center for Human Rights called for the full support of forming a national committee. The committee is be tasked with the issue of the victims of enforced disappearance, in hopes that it will be the a step among others to finally bring about a resolution to this case.

The committees demanded the government’s approval on the formation of this body “since the stall in the development of this issue hinders the road to a solution and could lead to the killing of remaining detainees who may otherwise be alive”.
