Honorary Doctorate granted to Patriarch Rai in Hungary

Maronite Patriarch Mar Bechara Boutros Rai continued his visit to Hungary on Wednesday whereby he was granted an Honorary Doctorate in media technology from Peter Pazmany Catholic University.

Rai expressed his regret towards the incidents taking place in the Middle East, expressing grief for the Christian communities in the region.

“It is our duty to spread peace and love through communion among people”, he added.

On the other hand, Rai celebrated on Tuesday evening a Mass at the St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Basilica in Budapest.
