Jordan's king dissolves parliament, calls for early elections
Jordan's King Abdullah II has dissolved the parliament and called for early elections, which he hopes to hold before the end of 2012, according to a statement issued by the Royal Court.        

The king issued a royal edict ordering the dissolution effective Thursday October 4, 2012.               

The statement added that parliamentary elections will be held according to the law.
