Mikati ends visit to the Democratic Republic of Congo
Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati ended his visit to the Democratic Republic of Congo, during which he headed the Lebanese delegation to the 14th Francophone Summit.

Before leaving the capital Kinshasa, Mikati met with the President of Congo Joseph Kabila and then held another meeting with Congo Prime Minister Matata Ponyo Mapon and discussed the conditions of the Lebanese community in Congo.                

Mikati delivered a speech yesterday at the closed session of the Francophone Summit, where he stressed that Lebanon must be an example for the future of the world’s different cultures, calling on the Francophone Summit to issue decisions improving the respect of spiritual symbols.
