Gunmen kill 8 people, including police officer in central Nigeria

Eight people, including one police officer, were killed when gunmen attacked two villages near the city of Jos, the capital of  the Plateau State in central Nigeria.               
In the details, the gunmen were said to have laid an ambush for a police patrol team at Jwol, opening fire and killing one of them, while the other seven were killed in Sopp village.
