Israeli army issues warning ahead of planned strike on Qasmiyeh bridge

The Israeli military warned of planned strikes in southern Lebanon, citing what it described as Hezbollah activity in civilian areas.

In a statement, Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee said that due to Hezbollah’s operations and the transfer of fighters to southern Lebanon “under the cover of civilians,” the Israeli army would carry out what he described as “broad and precise” strikes against Hezbollah targets.

He added that, in order to prevent the transfer of reinforcements and weapons, the army intends to target the Qasmiyeh bridge.

Adraee urged residents, “for your safety,” to move north of the Zahrani River and avoid heading south, warning that doing so could put their lives at risk.
