Sehnaoui: 300 "Phone Centrals" in Lebanon to be linked to fiber-optic network

Telecommunications Minister Nicolas Sehnaoui declared on Saturday that 300 "Phone Centrals" in Lebanon will be linked to fiber-optic network within 13 circles, expected to be finalized end of 2013. The first center was "al-Naher Central" that controls all networks.

During the inauguration of the center which controls the whole project, Sehnaoui noted that the fiber-optic network will improve the telecommunications' speed, while the first phase will be dedicated to the companies with intensive communications activity.
