Jumblatt: Dissociation policy achieved its goal

Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblatt sent on Monday a letter to the US President Barack Obama whereby he congratulated him on being reelected for a second mandate, stressing that the reelection reflects the American voters’ trust in their president and their aspiration to continue the mission and reach the main goals already planned by the administration on many levels.                    

Jumblatt hoped that the new US administration will give necessary importance and exert required political pressure in order to find a solution for the Israeli-Arab conflict, and to meet the legal historical demand of the Palestinian people to establish an independent Palestinian state.             

On the other hand, PSP leader called on President Obama to support the Lebanese state project and to help the Lebanese Army become able to perform its duties on many levels.    

Separately, Jumblatt met on Monday with a delegation from the Islamic Group headed by the Political Bureau Chief Azzam Ayoubi.
