Iranian Energy Minister: Iran's position towards Lebanon will never change

Iranian Energy Minister Majid Namjoo stressed that his meetings with the Lebanese officials resulted in signing a memorandum of coordination designed to implement the Balaa Dam construction project in Batroun, noting that an Iranian company will kick off the establishment of the dam.

Following a meeting with Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati at the Grand Serail, Namjoo said that during the bilateral negotiations conducted with the Lebanese side, it has been agreed upon important issues related to electricity.

The Iranian Minister stressed that Iran will stand by Lebanon whenever needed, noting that "this principled and permanent policy is unwavering and will never change."
