President Aoun presides a meeting over forensic audit - [REPORT]

President Michel Aoun was adamant on Wednesday about starting the forensic auditing of the Banque du Liban’s accounts and implementing the contract signed between Alvarez and Marsal company and the Lebanese state, which stipulates that the data and documents required  by the company to be provided in order to carry out its tasks and issue the initial report within a maximum of 12 weeks, as per the contract.

 

This as Aoun presided a meeting attended by Finance Minister Youssef Khalil, BDL Governor Riyad Salameh and former minister Salim Jreissati dedicated to discuss the hurdles that the company faces during its work process.

 

Aoun pointed out that repercussions of not conducting a forensic audit would be negative at all levels.
