Patriarch Rai to receive Cardinal insignia tomorrow in the Vatican

Maronite Patriarch Beshara Rai is due to receive the cardinal's insignia on Saturday during a ceremony headed by Pope Benedict XVI at the Papal Basilica of Saint Peter in the Vatican in the presence of Lebanese president Michel Sleiman and a Lebanese delegation of 1500 people.

The new Cardical will be receiving congratulators between 4:30 and 6:30 pm on Saturday at the Vatican’s Apostolic Palace.
