Jordanian King in Ramallah to meet with Abbas

Jordan's King Abdullah II headed on Thursday to the West Bank city of Ramallah for the first visit by a top foreign leader since the Palestinians gained upgraded United Nations status on November 29.             

The King arrived on board a military helicopter from Jordan, landing at the presidential headquarters known as the Muqataa, where he was welcomed by Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas and other senior Palestinian officials.
