US embassy says committed to a stable, sovereign and independent Lebanon

The US is deeply concerned with the continued violence in Tripoli and attempts to spark violence in Beirut’s Tareeq al-Jdideh.             

The US embassy in Beirut said, via Twitter, that they call on all parties to exercise restraint and respect for Lebanon’s stability and security, praising the LAF and ISF efforts to work together and maintain calm in the country.             

The embassy added that the US remains committed to a stable, sovereign and independent Lebanon.
