Ambassador Ali: Lawyer appointed to file lawsuit against those arming FSA

The Syrian ambassador to Lebanon Ali Abdel Karim Ali denied on Wednesday handing over the Lebanese Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour a document concerning the Syrian arrest warrants, stressing that the Syrian authorities appointed attorney Rashad Salameh to file a lawsuit before the Lebanese Judiciary against all those who participated, funded and delivered arms to the Free Syrian Army.

For his part, lawyer Reshad Salameh said he is still studying a Syrian request to file a law suit against former Prime Minister Saad Hariri, MP Okab Sakr and Syrian opposition figure Loay Mokdad.

On the case of the bodies of the Talkalakh victims, Ali noted, following his meeting with Mansour, that the Syrian authorities are stalling in delivering the bodies awaiting the confirmation of their identities, in cooperation with the Lebanese General Security.

On the 30th of November 2012, reports emerged saying that a number of Lebanese nationals died in a Syrian ambush in the bordering town of Talkalakh.
At least 14 Lebanese and Palestinian gunmen from north Lebanon were reportedly killed, with three wounded and detained in the ambush. Syrian state television aired graphic video of the dead men, riddled with gunshot wounds and lying in the grass.
