Displacements from Yarmouk refugee camp, Iran presents plan to end Syrian crisis

A day after the aerial bombing which targeted the Palestinian Yarmouk refugee camp in southern Damascus for the first time since the beginning of the Syrian crisis, the camp is witnessing displacement movements due to the clashes that erupted between opposition militants and a group of Palestinians who support the Syrian regime, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.      

To spare Palestinian camps the internal conflict in Syria, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas contacted the U.N. Secretary General and the Secretary General of the Arab League at a time when the General Command of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine called on the Syrian president to apologize for shelling the camp.     

Around the capital, the Observatory reported raids on the Eastern al Ghouta, pointing out that the army is sending military reinforcements from the al-Mezza military airport to the city of Daraya in southwestern Damascus. Meanwhile, SANA reported the chase of terrorist groups in Aleppo, Damascus Reef and Deir al-Zour.

In turn, the Arab League Secretary General Nabil Elaraby held the Syrian authorities responsible for the security of Palestinian camps, warning of the risks of involving them in the Syrian crisis.  

Earlier, the Turkish Radical newspaper said that Ankara presented a new plan for Russia to make a peaceful political transition in Syria, a plan which Russia described as “innovative”. According to the plan, the Syrian President resigns and the national coalition takes on power for a transitional period.         

Talks on a Turkish plan come at a time when Iranian media Iranian media declared that Iran presented a detailed plan as a solution for the crisis in Syria, including means to end violence and hold a national dialogue between the regime and the opposition. The Iranian foreign minister had finally submitted a first formula of the plan to international mediator Akhdar Ibrahimi.
