US talks addressed 'need to work tirelessly' for peace: Vatican

The Holy See and the United States Thursday discussed the "need to work tirelessly for peace" during a visit by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the Vatican said.

In their talks with Rubio, Pope Leo and the Vatican's Secretary of State Pietro Parolin also expressed a "shared commitment to cultivate good bilateral relations," the Vatican said, following a spat between Donald Trump and the pontiff over the Middle East war.
