Tyre’s farmers call on government to compensate floods’ damages

The last rainfall witnessed by Lebanon over the past week, caused severe damages to the crops and properties, especially in the citrus and banana groves located on the coast from Tyre, Naqoura and al-Qasimiyah.

The floods also damaged the roads in the region, hindering the traffic.

In this context, the farmers estimated their losses to be worth millions of dollars, calling on the government and the high relief commission to examine the damages before covering them up.
