REPORT: Guide for the Free Syrian Army to control fighters’ actions

Regardless to their beliefs or to the organization they belong to, Syrian rebels now have a guide dubbed as the “Free Army Guide”.

This booklet is being distributed among fighters to remind them about some of their duties, principles, and axioms especially after some atrocious actions which were carried out by militant groups.


These moral lessons are combined to extracts from the Quran, the Bible alongside stories by Gandhi, Martin Luther King and Tagore.

In this context, the “Waw al-Wasel Group” (واو الوصل), which technically supervised this booklet, published it on its website and on YouTube so as to help in spreading these lessons among the fighters for humanitarian purposes.
