Families of Talkalakh victims stage sit-in at al-Arida crossing

The families of the victims of Talkalakh ambush staged on Sunday a sit-in at al-Arida crossing amid an intensive deployment of forces from the General Security and Internal Security Forces.

The protesters hoisted banners condemning the Syrian ambassador to Lebanon Ali Abdel Karim Ali, and other ones demanding the finalization of this file.

The families’ spokesman Sheikh Mohammad Ibrahim held the government responsible for allowing the Syrian ambassador, who they described as “ambassador of Bashar the beast”, to provoke their relatives, calling for expelling him.

Ibrahim addressed the Syrian ambassador saying: “No authority will protect you and you will soon lie behind the bars”.

It is worth noting that the sit-in staged by families of Talkalakh victims paralyzed the transit traffic at al-Arida crossing point.
