Jumblatt deplores distribution of mocking posters for Saudi King in Lebanon

Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblatt deplored on Wednesday the dissemination of distorting photos for Saudi King Abdallah Bin Abdul Aziz in Lebanese streets, saying that there are some movements in Lebanon which resort to absurd activities and instigative positions aiming at distorting the facts.

Following the spread of the aforementioned photos, Jumblatt said that such an action ignores the "great support offered by Saudi Arabia and other Gulf States to Lebanon during the darkest days of civil war, starting with the Taef Agreement to the Israeli war in 2006."

On the other hand, Jumblatt expressed his appreciation for Saudi Arabia and the other Arab States for receiving a great number of Lebanese families.

However, the PSP leader stressed that "the immature behavior of some political parties in Lebanon has become unacceptable", calling on them to end the provocative rhetoric which only leads to further political tension.
