Hariri to LBCI: Sidon has become a military stronghold

The Secretary General of the Future Movement Ahmad Hariri said on Friday that “Sidon has become a military barracks due to the massive deployment of arms in it” adding that he rules out any unexpected incident during Sheikh Ahmad Assir’s sit-in.

In this context, Hariri told LBCI during Nharkom Said that the demonstration staged by Sheikh of the Bilal bin Rabbah Mosque Ahmad Assir is a normal response to the May 7 incidents.

In parallel, Ahmad Hariri said that the Future Bloc did not communicate directly or indirectly with Sheikh Assir, and stated that the bloc holds the government accountable for any action that undermines the security in Sidon.

Hariri added that Hezbollah "is driving the country toward a well-specified direction”. It is worth noting that Ahmad Hariri made it clear that he does not fear the threats of Hezbollah’s Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.
