Sit-in staged in Beirut in protest of Orthodox Gathering draft law

Several youth movements, mainly the Youth Movement for Change, staged a sit-in in Riad al-Solh Square, Down town Beirut on Thursday to protest the Orthodox Gathering’s draft law and to voice their refusal to all forms of political sectarianism.

The protesters declared their rejection to the extension and renewal of the Parliament’s mandate, calling for holding the elections on time according to a new non-confessional electoral law.
