Berri postpones Parliament session until Wednesday

Speaker Nabih Berri postponed the General Assembly session of Parliament initially scheduled for Tuesday until Wednesday at 3:00 pm.

In this context, an expanded meeting was held at Berri’s office at Parliament, in the presence of caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, and the Lebanese Forces and Kataeb deputies to discuss the parliament session.

Earlier, Berri had headed a meeting for the Parliament’s bureau committee in the presence of the deputy Speaker Farid Makari and MPs Michel Moussa, Ahmad Fatfat, Serge Torsarkissian and in the absence of MP Antoine Zahra due to his travel.

However, sources told LBCI that the Future bloc will boycott the session in case Berri does not meet their demands to delay the session for 48 hours.
