Hassan: We seek to obtain vaccine in effective, safe and guaranteed manner

Caretaker Minister of health Hamad Hassan chaired on Tuesday a meeting for the national committee that he set up to manage the COVID-19 vaccine file.

Following the meeting, Hassan noted discussions are taking place in a scientific and technical way, with a high degree of responsibility, in order to secure the vaccine that will be approved by global health references.

He also noted that the committee seeks to secure the vaccine “in an effective, safe and guaranteed manner."

Hassan reiterated that agreement with Pfizer stated the obtaining of the vaccine in the first quarter of next year, no later than the end of March, but according to the agreement with Pfizer, “it is expected that the vaccine will be obtained in mid-February, with the possibility of bringing the date two weeks closer or two weeks farther."
