China donates 50000 doses of Sinopharm vaccine to Lebanon

China ambassador to Lebanon announced on Monday that his country “will donate 50000 doses of Sinopharm vaccine to Lebanon at a time when the country afflicted by crises is fighting an outbreak of Covid-19, which has claimed the lives of about 4,700 people.”

The ambassador’s announcement was made on Twitter as the country enters the third week of vaccination.

This as director general of the state-run Rafic Hariri University Hospital Firas Abiad commented on the news in a tweet, saying that making the vaccine available to the largest number of people at greatest risk is currently the shortest way out of the Coronavirus crisis, and we need all help in this matter."

Later in the day, The Ministry of Health authorized the use of the vaccine in Lebanon.
