Health Minister Firas Abiad revealed on Tuesday in an interview with Nharkom Said TV show on LBCI that “the last vaccination marathon was a success,” adding that “a huge turnover was recorded especially from the education sector.”
“After two years of irregular school attendance, it would be a crime to lose a third academic year so it was better not to resort to another lockdown,” he explained.
Abiad also stressed that “the situation of hospitals is under control,” adding that “the number of positive cases will stabilize this week.”
He also revealed that “Lebanon’s needs of oxygen are about a third of what they were last year,” adding that “medication will arrive to Lebanon in the next ten days.”
