REPORT: Man who called for a protest against LAF via Facebook arrested
The Internal Security Forces Information Branch arrested on Monday the man who reportedly called for a protest against the Lebanese Armed Forces in Ain el-Helweh.

The detainee is identified as Hani al-Hussein and was referred to the concerned authorities to launch interrogations with him.

A Facebook page entitled Union of Syrian People in Lebanon called for a demonstration to “defend the rights of Syrians in Lebanon.”

The call for a demonstration came following a Lebanese army’s raid on two Syrian refugee settlements near the border town of Arsal on June 30.

The operation led to the arrest of 355 Syrian nationals, four of them died in custody.
