Director General of the Public Corporation for Housing Rony Lahoud stressed Monday that all the housing loan applications that were previously submitted will not be suspended, noting that they will not be accepting new applications currently. He added that the housing loans backed by Banque Du Liban are currently suspended, “this is why the new applications have been rejected.”
In a statement to LBCI’s Nharkom Said, Lahoud pointed out that the decision to suspend acceptance of new applications, aims at finalizing the old ones, stressing that this is social matter and discrimination is unacceptable.
He also emphasized that they will be looking for new funding sources, explaining that the draft law presented by the Future Movement seeks to fund or support the interests by the Finance Ministry.
