LBCI airs a video of Syrian hostages in Lebanon
LBCI aired a video on Thursday depicting 5 kidnapped Syrian nationals in Lebanon. It was later reported that 10 other Syrians were also kidnapped in the Bekaa area. The group identified as Serail Mokhtar Thaqafe called House Speaker Nabih Berri to notify him of the kidnapping of the Syrian nationals in the Bekkaa on the Syrian-Lebanese border.

In the video, the hostages confessed to working with the FSA in gathering information in Lebanon and other operations.  They called for the release of the 11 Lebanese detainees in Syria.

Reports later said that Syrian national Hossam Yehya Khashroum (born 1970) was also  abducted near Chtaura hospital by 4 armed assailants.

Wednesday saw a wave of kidnappings across Beirut and Lebanon. The wave was instigated by the Mokdad clan which announced that it was kidnapping Syrian nationals involved with the FSA in retaliation for the detention of Hassan Mokdad in Syria. To read more on this story please click here.
