Caretaker Minister of Public Health Hamad Hasan continued to raid drug stores, storming into a warehouse in Sad El Baouchriye as part of the anti-monopoly campaign of medicines and infant formula.
Another warehouse was also raided in Tallet El Khayat, amid security escort.
"During the raid, we found 6800 pills of medicine no longer available at hospitals, and which were urgently needed after the Tleil explosion," Hasan said regrettably, calling on the judiciary to "take measures to deter people and institutions that monopolize medicines."
Hasan also addressed pharmacies and warned them that "storing medicines in unlicensed places is a matter for which the law will hold them accountable," stressing that more warehouses and pharmacies will be raided and their stock confiscated.
